“I don’t watch TV anymore,” rather “I watch recorded TV.”

I always find myself in the the dire state of missing good programs on TV and the inability to watch them at my convenience. True Video on Demand will one day solve this problem, but the interim solution of PVRs, DVRs seem to be taking off. The upfront capital investment of this capability is now being mitigated by monthly service options by big cable TV operators in the U.S. These services will extend the lifeline of this technology for sure, which for some time seemed bleak with the bankruptcy of SonicBlue and not so good results from TIVO. I have used this service in the U.S. and is the greatest TV technology since the VCR.
